SWISSPUNK
This is it!
The complete serie of
rare, impossible to find or first time release of Swiss (Post-) Punk records from the late 70s and early 80s. They are a limited and numbered edition of 100 copies only.
All records and sleeves are handmade and you will get some additional information and liner notes from ex-members of the bands. All the ELEVEN 7"s will have the same number. You can buy this last copie of this set only thru Klang und Kleid or "Swisspunk".

SCHIZOIDS
The two songs "Randalier" and "Zerstör" were recorded in 1980 in the practice room of Jof & The Ram in Fribourg. This, by Jacques Schouwey and Cesare Pizzi, who together with Franz Treichler later founded The Young Gods. Franz played guitar and was responsible for the mix. Heleen Wubbe was on bass. At the time, Jacques, Franz, and Heleen played together in Jof & The Ram. On the drums was Marco Repetto of the band Grauzone from Berne.
There was a second session though, where four additional songs were recorded. These were "Atemnot", "DRS Heil", "Marschieren" and "Tier." Yet, none of these tracks were ever officially released in any form. Franz Treichler discovered a cassette of these recordings at his home and it was restored for this first-time release on vinyl.
MONO
The small tale begins 1980 five meters below ground: THE MONO. Out of nowhere. The air raid shelter in Zürich-Leimbach. Four friends and school mates, Ueli on bass, Toby on drums, Didi on guitar and the singer Vuschee. Then, the first show on 5. October at the schoolhouse Brühl, fast, loud, with squiggles. That's it, what we can, what we want. THIS IS LIFE! A year later we went for it: the single, the songs; "Bahnhof", "Schtop", "Life", 500 copies where sold instantly. Now for or this first-time re-released on vinyl. From the original master, with the original artwork and of course silkscreen-printed like the original. It's the best that we ever did on vinyl.
JIM KNOPF UND LUKAS DER LOKOMOTIVFÜHRER
Pre-Christmas Zurich-East 1981: Lukas B.
(voc/guit), Urs K. (bass, ex-Liars) aka Jim Knopf,
Peter B. (drums, ex-Liars, The Jack Rabbit
Band), a friend to Jim Knopf, then replaces
the first drummer prior to the studio sessions
The three of them work themselves through the songs written by Lukas B. and soon achieve a considerable repertoire of punky power-pop numbers. A trio, of whom no one knew much about
anything, despite the two immortalizing tracks "TV Time" and "Je
T'aime" on vinyl in the Spring of 1982. The 7" single was pressed but the
planned tour fell through. As a result, only a handful of the singles were given away to friends and acquaintances. First time rereleased on vinyl.
JACK
The search for JACK
Clearly, the greatest challenge for us to-date regarding re-releases
was the extremly rare and highly sought-after 7" single by JACK.
This was the case, because the original release offers absolutely no
information about the musicians. Both songs on the record,
"Armee And Fuck-off Tout Le Monde" and "Théologiquement," deal with
issues that greatly concerned the musicscene during the early 1980s.
After five years of searching, we have aired the secret and with
this single also an interview appears, that will answer all the questions.
2 x BAD LUCK 7"
Who needs BAD LUCK?
1979 was the birth year of BAD LUCK from Yverdon in the Vaud. Then, on Christmas 1981, their first 7" with the two songs "Hallucinations" and "Destin" came out on Blue Cedar (BC2).
The following year, their second single was put out on Mad Music, with the two songs "Le Motard" and "Terre de Feu."
This 7" was financed by Les Dragons, the local motorcycle club and the song was written by Guy Niederhauser (voc/bass) and
Christian Wyss, the founder and guitarist of the Psychedelic Rock band The Piranhas. On this re-release appears for the first time ever on the B-side the song "New World" insteed of "Terre de Feu." The track comes closer to the drive of
"Le Motard" and anyway, the song is pure dynamite!
Attention! Some damage in the center on both sides of the sleeve!
We did recive from the band some copies of their first 7" with the
two songs "Hallucinations" and "Destin" (Rather pubrock than punk not like their second single Le Motard). This one came out on Blue Cedar (BC2) in 1981. Unfortunatly did they
lie in a closed box for the last 35 years and so did they stick in the center together. The record is mint, the sleeve has some damage on both sides.

NEON
NEON - No Business in "Show Business"
We, Astrid Spirig (vocals/later LILIPUT), Dagmar Heinrich (guitar),
Loredana Zandonella (bass), and Gitta Gsell (drums), met in May 1978
in Zurich and formed NEON. None of us had ever played an instrument
before! But, we were all animated by the spontaneous, creative, and
rebellious spirit of Punk...
Then, in December, a performance on Swiss television took place for a
program about "women in show business." The TV appearance did not
make us happy at all. The recordings for our songs were done in a
music studio and we had to fight hard for them.
In 2016, Dagmar found an old cassette at her home with the recordings
of the two songs "Neon" and "Nazi Schatzi." We are especially
keen about NEON being released for the first time ever - this nearly
40 years afterwards and then also on vinyl!
GLUEAMS
1979 war DAS Jahr für die Berner Punkband Glueams.
Im Juli erschien ihre erste Single Strasse/SS und im November
ihre zweite Single Mental/365. Du erhälst nun eine Re-edition
der zweiten Single Mental/365 mit zusätzlich - NEU - dem
unveröffentlichten Studio Song «Arsen» dazu. Dazu gibt es ein
Fanzine mit einem Infotext des fünften Glueams Mitgliedes - Paul Ott.
DE PRAVDA
Vorletztes Jahr veröffentlichten swisspunk und static age die sehr
rare und geile Debils LP aus dem Jahr 1981. Diese war dann auch
wieder umgehend ausverkauft (letzte Exemplare gibt es noch
bei swisspunk). Was wir aber nicht wussten - ist - das Rex, ihr
Gitarrist und Laps ihr Bassist, nach der Auflösung der Debils eine
neue Band unter dem Namen De Pravda gründeten.
Auf der A und B Seite verwendeten wir nun den einen Song -
nähmlich ihren Hit - «J'ai perdu la clé». Auf der A Seite in einer
Demo Version und auf der B Seite in einer komplett anderen Live
Version. Mit einer Bandbio, geschrieben von Hotcha und einer Comix-
Beilage.
EXPO
EXPO ging am 05. März 1978 fliessend aus den Nasal Boys hervor.
Auf den Tag einen Monat später unterzeichneten die Mitglieder
der Band bei CBS einen Plattenvertrag. Am 15. Mai flogen sie nach
London, um mit Produzent Dave Goodmann (Sex Pistols, Slits, Chelsea
u.w.) ihr einziges Album Not-a-Talk-a mit 14 Songs im Rockfield
Studio aufzunehmen. Ebenso konnten sie im Übungsraum der Pistols
proben und spielten vor Ort einige Gigs, z.b. im Music-Machine
oder Speakeasy. Not-a-Talk-a erschien in der letzten Woche September
und danach stieg einer ihr Gitarristen, Rudolph Dietrich, aus.
Die verbliebenen Mitglieder machten weiter .
In ihrem Übungsraum in
Uster wurden bis heute unveröffentlichte Songs live (Studioqualität) eingespielt und von Peter Glanzmann (heute bei Les Sauterelles) auf ein Revox-Tonbandgerät (4-Track) aufgenommen.
Dies sind «Dr.Therapy», «Batteries», «Hiccup» und «Love Me».
Die EP erscheint mit dem original Artwork von Peter Fischli, einer
Bandbiographie und einem Mini-Mini-Plakat.
TNT und BOX
Zu TNT müssen wir dir ja nichts mehr sagen. 2014 veröffentlichten
swisspunk und static age das aufwendig gemachte Monster-Teil-
TNT - Complete Recordings in einer Auflage von 1000 Exemplaren.
Als Treuebonus chippen wir euch eine TNT Single mit den drei Songs; «Hinterhalt», «Mackie Messer» und «Leise, mit Gefühl» umsonst dazu.
Für die 11 Singles gibt es eine von Hand anfertige Box. Diese rundet unser Projekt "Swisspunk-Single-Klub" ab.
